The expo showcased over 800 top destinations and travel providers, each creating immersive spaces that captured the essence of their offerings. Attendees were transported to far-off lands, from the wild savannahs of Uganda, Tanzania, and South Africa, where the thrill of safari adventures awaited, to the tantalizing flavors of Thailand, which highlighted its exquisite cuisine. The booths representing Japan and Pakistan were particularly eye-catching, offering a blend of cultural richness and breathtaking landscapes, complete with attractive sightseeing and mountain retreat experiences.
The British Virgin Islands made a splash by promoting their exclusive, crowd-free getaways, where guests could arrive by private boats and planes, enjoying personalized experiences in the serene beauty of Tortola and Virgin Gorda. Desert destinations also had a presence, with vivid imagery of camels traversing golden sands, enticing travelers to explore their unique landscapes.
Beyond Travel: A Comprehensive Experience

Companies promoting luggage, travel insurance, long-term airport parking, and health services offering vaccinations for high-risk destinations were all part of the mix. Attendees could also enjoy a round-the-clock schedule of live cultural performances on the Global Beats Stage, while seminars and lectures covered fascinating topics, including navigating the role of AI in the travel industry.
Celebrating Diversity: The LGBTQ Pavilion
The LGBTQ presence at the expo was robust, with the New York LGBTQ pavilion serving as a key sponsor. They invited a Greek company owner to showcase luxurious small-ship cruise packages through the stunning Greek Islands and the Mediterranean Sea, highlighting the inclusive nature of travel and the diverse experiences available to all.

The JTB team, including Victoria Harper, district sales manager, and Matthew Blake and Carey Dennis, both business development officers, were instrumental in promoting Jamaica’s tourism. One of Jamaica’s top 50 producing travel specialists, DeAna Haywood, expressed her excitement about representing the island at the expo, stating, “It was an absolute thrill representing Jamaica at the travel expo, and sharing the vibrancy and warmth of the One Love island was an unforgettable experience.”
Victoria Harper echoed this enthusiasm, noting the impressive turnout and engagement from consumers. “Our team was gratified by the huge turnout and the impressive level of engagement from consumers for Jamaica,” she shared with The Gleaner. With such strong support, the JTB is optimistic about making 2025 another record-breaking year for Jamaica’s tourism.
